Affordable Art Fair (AAF) 2024
AAF was my first volunteering experience that I had during my time as a poly student.
As part of their module project, several 2024 Year 2 students designed a drop-off center within the AAF space for kids to enjoy their time while their parents went shopping for artworks worry-free.
That year's theme was 10,000 Leagues Below Singapore. Out of curiosity, I volunteered to help the Year 2s visions come true.
Thanks to this volunteering experience, I got to witness and be part of an industry level planning for this project to run. Because AAF was a worldwide art fair that was touring, everything felt so tight and planned, with little to no room for big mistakes and last minute changes.
To be fast but produce quality work was a skill I picked up while helping to make accessories that would eventually contribute to the overall theme of the space.
Picture on the top left and bottom left shows the final look of the space after assembling everything together.
Picture on the right is an example of seaweed accessory I helped contributed to their final installation.
